Emma’s credentials
Emma qualified as a Nutritional Therapist at the College of Naturopathic Medicine, London, in 2018, and completed the Institute of Functional Medicine’s Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP) training shortly afterwards. That same year, she obtained the NTEC-accredited professional qualification in Nutrition and Cancer from the Institute of Optimum Nutrition. In 2021, she qualified as a Certified Oncology Nutrition Consultant through the Oncology Nutrition Institute, which provides evidence-based education and training in integrative oncology nutrition therapy.
She has since completed Dr Nina Fuller-Shavel’s Systems Approach to Cancer and Systems Approach to Breast Cancer programmes – both widely regarded as setting a new standard in cancer nutrition education in the UK – and continues to pursue advanced study as the evidence in integrative oncology nutrition evolves.
Professional appointments
As well as running her own very busy practice, Emma has worked since 2021 as the lead breast cancer nutrition specialist within the Integrative Oncology Team at Synthesis Clinic, an award-winning multidisciplinary integrative medicine and precision health practice led by Dr Nina Fuller-Shavel.
She also works as an instructor at the Oncology Nutrition Institute (ONI) in the USA, which provides evidence-based certification and training in integrative oncology nutrition therapy.
Specialist knowledge and guidance
I had the good fortune to be recommended to Emma when searching for a nutritionist post breast cancer.
Emma’s depth of specialist knowledge and guidance has been transformational in my cancer recovery journey. She has been instrumental in advising me on food groups, along with supplement support to ensure my body is maximising its healing and productivity.
I cannot recommend Emma more highly; she is a delight to work with and takes time to listen and explain everything. I am so grateful to have her support.”

Reassuring, practical, achievable and enjoyable
Emma Has supported me during my treatment and recovery from cancer for the past year at Synthesis Clinic. From the outset her approach was reassuring and practical, telling me in the first few moments that this wasn’t all about cutting everything out but more about adding in more nutritious foods and rebalancing.
She’s really helped me understand how to have a healthy diet and one that hopefully will decrease the likelihood of recurrence, as well as preventing other health conditions.
Her tips and recipes were delicious and I’ve found myself cooking much more than before. Emma’s recommendations about other lifestyle changes have always been really tailored to my life, which has made them achievable and enjoyable.
A year in and tests have shown I’m healthier now than I was before I was diagnosed. I can’t thank Emma enough for this and I’m looking to the future with more confidence and energy.”

Clinical practice
In clinical practice, Emma draws on a comprehensive toolkit including functional testing – encompassing nutrigenomics, microbiome analysis, blood biochemistry, and hormone testing – to build personalised, evidence-informed nutrition plans.
Her aim is to support each client using a personalised approach to guide them through their treatment and beyond.
Nutrition background
Before moving into nutrition, Emma built her career as a chef in London, later running her own catering business and cookery workshops for two decades.
That foundation informs everything she does – ensuring that the nutritional strategies she recommends are both clinically sound, and genuinely achievable in the kitchen.
Continued support throughout my treatment
After my diagnosis of Bowel Cancer, subsequent surgery and chemotherapy I contacted Emma to help get my nutrition back on track.
She has made small changes and additions to my everyday habits. My digestive system is definitely more balanced and I have gained weight and feel stronger.
Emma is a continued support throughout my treatment, never more than a phone call away.”

I can’t recommend you highly enough and I’m so glad I found you. Thank you 🙏”

Peer mentoring
for Practitioners New to Breast Cancer Support
Once you're qualified it can be quite overwhelming, particularly when a case involves the complexity of breast cancer nutrition. I offer 1:1 peer mentoring to work through your cases in detail: summarising the clinical picture, building an effective and achievable plan, and thinking through supplement choices with confidence.
Sessions run for 60 minutes and can cover anything from a specific case to broader questions on conditions, treatment interactions, or even pricing your services.
Having someone experienced to turn to makes all the difference between feeling isolated and feeling supported as you build your practice in this specialist area.
Cookery workshops
Join me for a vibrant, hands-on day where evidence-based nutrition meets delicious, nourishing food, with a focus on creating balance in the body as the foundation for long-term health and longevity.
The day begins with a selection of my favourite nourishing nibbles, followed by a clear, practical 45-minute talk on how to support your body through food, and a relaxed Q&A. We’ll then head into the kitchen to cook a few of my favourite dishes together: full of flavour, simple to recreate at home, and designed to support wellbeing without feeling restrictive. We finish around the table, sharing a relaxed lunch of the dishes you’ve made alongside a selection I’ve prepared.
This workshop is ideal if you’d like to feel more balanced, energised and confident in how you eat, want realistic nutrition guidance without the overwhelm, or simply want to feel more inspired in the kitchen. There’s plenty of opportunity to ask questions throughout, in the group or privately, and you’re welcome to email me afterwards with any follow-ups.
You’ll leave feeling clearer, more confident and equipped with simple, lasting changes that support your health now and long into the future.
