I initially became interested in food in my 20s. I was professionally trained and worked as a chef at Café Boheme, Soho, London before moving to Buckinghamshire where I ran a successful catering business for 15 years. I regularly teach and demonstrate at my home where I share my love of healthy cooking.
I decided to combine my love for food with a growing interest in its healing properties and retrained for 3 years as a registered nutritional therapist at The College of Naturopathic Medicine in London, and it was the best thing I ever did. This fed my hunger for more knowledge of the biochemistry of nutrition, so I trained with the Institute of Functional Medicine and became a Functional Medicine Practitioner in 2018.
My approach is to educate and empower my clients to take charge of their health, and I am constantly amazed at the results. Nutritional therapy works, especially when its applied with understanding, a commitment to change and a belief that optimum health is ours for the taking.
I have a deep interest in supporting clients with cancer and am training throughout this year with the renowned cancer specialist Dr Xandria Williams on her Advanced Cancer care course. I am studying with ION in Cancer Nutrition support in November 2018.
I am proud to be a member of the two leading Governing Bodies for nutrition and complementary healthcare – the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). I hold professional liability insurance with Balens Ltd.
